Reflexology

This ancient method of healing involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet or hands.

Following illness, stress or injury the body is in a state of “imbalance” and vital energy pathways are blocked, preventing the body from functioning effectively. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium, or balance, and therefore encourage healing.

A Reflexologist uses their hands to apply pressure to the feet. For each person the application and the effect of the therapy is unique. The sensitive and trained hands of the Reflexologist can detect any imbalances or small deposits in reflex points in the feet and by working these points blockages can be released and restore the free flowing energy to the whole body.
Circulation and elimination is improved and tensions in the body are eased. This is a very gentle therapy which encourages the body to start the healing process and heal itself.

There are also reflex points and areas on the feet and hands that correspond to all the major organs, glands and body parts. Working on these points can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body. With reflexology, the feet are a mirror of the body and therefore by working the feet, you can influence and elevate the whole body.

You may want to try Reflexology if you suffer from:

  • Back pain

  • Migraine

  • Infertility

  • Arthritis

  • Sleep disorders

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Sports injuries

  • Digestive disorders

  • Stress- related conditions

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head massage works on the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, ears and face.  The areas are massaged using firm yet gentle, rhythmic movements that involve acupressure points called Marma points.  The use of oils are optional.

A typical indian head massage treatment combines massage techniques with gentle stretches in order to loosen and mobilise the muscles and joints of the arms, shoulders and neck. The scalp and face are then gently but deeply massaged. Oils can optionally be used to improve the condition of the hair.

A treatment lasts for forty five minutes and includes a medical history, the actual treatment, and recommendations for diet and lifestyle.

Reiki

Reiki is a natural healing method using the Universal Life Energy (chi) for balance, health and harmony. Non-intrusive and gentle, it has also been called therapeutic touch or the laying-on-of-hands.

Reiki, pronounced RAY-key, uses very light touch applied to the head and body. There is no pressure or manipulation. There need not even be direct, physical touch. It can be both extremely relaxing yet gently energizing, facilitating physical and emotional well-being.

Many people credit Reiki for accelerating their healing, although it makes no claims to cure. Reiki is simply energy which works by harmonizing and balancing the chakras.

Healing/Reiki very effective for:

  • Stress/Panic Attacks

  • Tiredness

  • Emotional upheaveal

  • Insomnia
